Arsenal supporters have an interesting transfer theory as they reacted to the ‘leaked’ images of the 2021/22 home kit.
The colors of the supposed new shirt are the red and white of the traditional Gunners, but the design is slightly different from what we’ve seen in the past.
Arsenal’s 2020/21 jersey was also red and white, but the sleeves were the main white part of the kit. However, the image of the “leaked” jersey – which can be seen on Reddit here – also show white going down the hip section – very similar to what we usually see Ajax wearing.
With the Gunners interested in signing Andre Onana from the Dutch giants this summer, supporters at the north London club have come up with a tongue-in-cheek theory on the supposed new shirt.
hudsonrobb2 said, “At least that will help Onana settle down.”
Lefty2Gunz81 said: “It makes sense now. We wanted Onana to feel at home.”

Onana is the prime target for Arsenal’s goalkeepers this summer, football.londonUnderstand, the club wanting to replace Bernd Leno with the Ajax star.
However, the deal appears to be more complicated than usual – the Cameroonian goalkeeper is currently serving a doping ban.
The ban, for finding a banned substance Furomeside in his urine sample, was originally supposed to be 12 months, but has since been reduced to nine by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The 25-year-old will be allowed to resume training on September 4, but will not be allowed to participate in competitive football until two months later, on November 4.
Leno has been linked with a move away from the Gunners in recent months after a disappointing 2020/21 campaign for the German keeper.
The summer window is officially open, and it is going to be difficult to follow the comings and goings in and out of the Emirates.

Onana established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in European football before being banned in February – and Ajax have apparently accepted him to leave Amsterdam this summer.
Ajax director of football and former Arsenal star Marc Overmars told NOS last month: “We haven’t stopped negotiations (of the contract) for nothing. I think it’s likely he’ll be leaving this summer.
Onana sees his contract at the Johan Cruijff Arena expire next summer, which means Arsenal could get the goalkeeper at a reduced price.
