James Maddison’s future at Leicester City has been the subject of intense speculation over the past week after it emerged that Arsenal are interested in the talented playmaker.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has had a tough start to the summer transfer window, missing key targets, like Emi Buendia, who chose Aston Villa over a move to the Emirates.
Chelsea are also reportedly monitoring Maddison’s situation, although any offer from the Blues may depend on Hakim Ziyech, who has been linked with AC Milan, leaving Stamford Bridge.
Arteta is believed to have turned his attention to Maddison, although it is understood the Foxes would like around £ 80million for the former Norwich and Coventry man.
Maddison left a clue as to where he sees his future by posting a photo of himself training in a Foxes shirt this week.
And former Premier League forward Dean Windass believes Maddison is happy at King Power Stadium, saying a move to Arsenal would be a “step backwards”.
