PS5 restocking weekend news should be slim in the field, but Argos could be one of the first stores to carry more stock next week.
A new update from several stock tracking accounts suggests that Tuesday or Wednesday will be the day of the next big drop.
Argos is expected to restock the PlayStation 5 early, followed by others including GAME and Currys. However, no further drop in inventory is expected this weekend, whether it’s June 12 or June 13.
According to the PS5 Stock Alert UK Twitter account – a trusted source on PlayStation restocks – the next Argos delivery will be available around June 15.
The last message from the account explains: “The stock of Argos PS5 has arrived in the warehouses! Distributions started today in stores across the UK and will take place over the weekend.
“This time, just like we saw with Smyths Toys, it will only be the Ratchet & Clank pack. Autonomous are expected to arrive on the 21st.
“We expect this pack to go live on June 15 (1-5am); However, this is not guaranteed until the bundle has been uploaded to the Argos mobile app / website. “
Meanwhile, GAME has been linked with another drop in inventory during the week of June 14.
Currys is another UK retailer that may be carrying inventory very soon, although these can be purchased in-store rather than digital.
Other retailers will be offering inventory over the next few days and weeks, including ASDA, John Lewis, AO and ShopTo.
These are some of the retailers that could lose more stock this week, while others plan to go further.
Knowing when a drop in stock is about to happen is very important, but it’s also worth knowing more about the site you are going to try to use.
Here are some examples of the best way to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from major UK retailers:
AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works best under power but still has a few flaws that are worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected before June 10.
ARGOS: Argos website has been known to crash and be unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings. Argos should not receive any more stock before the end of June.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when making a purchase. GAME is expected to restock the PlayStation 5 within the next seven days.
CURRY: Currys didn’t share much stock in May but did deliver consoles through a new system. This includes signing up for the Currys VIP Pass, which means going to the website and using an email address. If you do this, you have the option of purchasing a PS5 console in a store, within 72 hours.
