UPDATE: Smyths Toys was the only UK retailer to release inventory today, with a small PS5 restock online at 8:30 am BST. Amazon was set to drop something this week, however, it’s unclear if that shipment will be ready by June 25.
The good news is that at least one more major stock drop is expected in June 2021, and the first PlayStation 5 restocking news is expected in July.
ORIGINAL: The next PS5 restock would take place today and will be followed by a few more in the coming weeks.
Based on the latest forecast, Amazon PS5 inventory is slated for this week, even with the Prime Day event going on.
This would be followed by something new from Argos, with the UK retailer set to offer another shipment in late June or early July.
If a drop in Amazon PS5 inventory occurs, it should start between 8 a.m. BST and 1 p.m. BST.
And if it doesn’t drop on June 23, gamers can expect these PlayStation 5 consoles to hit Amazon on June 24 or 25.
The PS5 Stock Alert UK Twitter account shared the latest news, including details regarding stock updates from Smyths and BT, telling fans this week:
“Amazon UK ditched the X series today, so the PS5 is most likely tomorrow.
“Argos will receive shipments of standalone PlayStation 5 consoles this weekend, indicating a potential standalone restock next week.
“It is too early to say whether both editions will be in stock, or to comment on the inventory count.”
Commenting on the increase in stock of Smyths Toys in store, the account added, “A Smyths Toys store was spotted today with a pre-order poster in store. It might be worth checking out your local Smyths Toys store if you are on the go.
“Looking at the feedback from you, I can conclude that Smyths Toys only has a very small number of stores that have started taking preorders. The other stores will follow “towards the end of the month” according to an employee. We will keep you posted as usual.
AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works best under power but still has a few flaws that are worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected before June 28.
ARGOS: Argos website has been known to crash and be unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings. Argos should not receive any more stock before the end of June.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when making a purchase.
