If you don’t have a PlayStation 5 yet, you might want to get ready for a few early mornings, as several UK retailers are expected to stock up this week.
Last week, various Twitter stock controllers predicted the consoles would be coming, and they’ve now started cutting dates and times to just days.
As usual, the stores themselves won’t officially say if or when they’ll receive stock, but Twitter channels such as PS5 UK Stock – Instant Updates and PS5 Stock UK have proven their accuracy in the past.
Amazon.com is expected to enter stock on Tuesday May 18 or Wednesday May 19 – although PS5 UK Stock suggests a wider range between today and Thursday. Amazon typically releases its stock between 8 and 9 a.m.
John lewis is scheduled between Tuesday and Friday May 21. This will likely require you to get up early (or stay up) early, as they typically drop stocks between 4 and 8 a.m.
Smyths is also scheduled this week, but not for some time between Thursday and Saturday. In addition, its weather is impossible to predict at the moment.
Very may also be in stock between Tuesday and Friday, but this is unconfirmed. They usually drop off their inventory between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., if that happens.
As previously reported, Amazon is expected to receive around 10,000 consoles this week, the most it has ever had at one time this year. Which is hopefully one more sign to come.
Other small stores may also get inventory this week including Box.co.uk, eBuyer, Hughes, Maplin, Scan and SimplyGames.
Tesco and BT / EE may also get inventory, but if they are, there’s no internal scoop on exactly when and how much yet. BT and EE have been a trusted source in the past, but you must be an existing customer to purchase a console through them.
