How many drops will there be to round off the month? Stay tuned to find out

(The independent)

Update: PS5 could drop to AO today. Read on for more information.

The PS5 launched in November 2020, but supply issues and a global semiconductor shortage have slowed production of Sony’s next-gen console. New stock is hard to find, and when it does show up, the PS5 sells out quickly.

July was a mixed bag for PS5 restockings, but we got a few healthy drops throughout the month at Very, Smyths Toys, Argos, Amazon and Game. As for the month of August? Well, it’s been phenomenal. So far this month, 15 retailers have given up inventory – several down more than once – and we still have five days left. We have seen it all John Lewis & Associates, Smyths Toys and Very to Asda, Amazon, ShopTo and Argos. While we only received three drops last week – with Game join the pack – we’ve had seven drops so far this week. Could we get even more to round off the month?

If you’re still looking for a PS5, you’ve come to the right place. Our liveblog is here to give you the latest information on Playstation 5 restockings from all major UK retailers, both online and in store, as well as providing details on release rumors, the latest PS5 games and accessories to buy.

Goodbye from your resident PS5 stock trackers

And it’s a wrap for the week, and almost, the month! It has been an absolutely phenomenal month for inventory declines. This week we had about seven drops. If our calculations are correct, that means we had 33 whole drops in August. There are plenty of restockings, and we’ve seen so many people successfully pack the console.

We obviously have one day of inventory tracking left for the month, so there’s a good chance that number will increase before we get to September. We’ll be back here on Tuesday August 31st for some more stock tracking action. For now, as usual, good night, good luck and have fun!

Need new wireless headphones?

Headphones might not be perfect for gaming, but that doesn’t stop us from using them while playing on our PS5. We recently tested Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds 2, which have a game mode specifically designed for mobile gaming.

We’ve also tested a range of the latest models in our best wireless earbuds review, primarily focusing on audio quality, but also checking out the different features and styles currently on the market.

Whether you’re a style-conscious pop lover, a low-budget fitness fan, or a blasphemous gamer wearing headphones, there’s something for everyone in our guide to headphones. Our top pick are the true Sennheiser CX 400BT wireless headphones. Our reviewer said they were a “top notch” pair for those who don’t want to have a blast.

PS Plus September 2021

Since there is very little to report this morning. Drop stock, guys! We thought we would take a look at the games coming to PS Plus in September. We were quite disappointed with the PS Plus games in August (Plants vs. Zombies – really, Sony?), But quietly hope this month’s free games will be a little better.

No game leaked before the fall this time around, but we know what’s going on not coming to PS Plus in September – The way. The Bloober team confirmed this in a recent Twitter post. As soon as we find out, we’ll give you all the details.

Will AO restock the PS5 today?

AO.com is officially the only major retailer not to have a PS5 restock this month – if we exclude Tesco, that is to say (Tesco hasn’t restocked the console since March, so we basically wiped it out of our list).

Looking at the time, we doubt the retailer has any stock drops today. It looks like a restocking in September is now the most likely month for the next drop. However, we’ll let you know if he’s miraculously ditching the console today.

Tired of trying to get the PS5? Buy a Nintendo Switch instead

If all the stock issues associated with Sony’s latest console make you feel a little bit, well, maybe consider a Nintendo Switch (£ 279.99, Argos.fr) as a viable alternative.

Competition is fierce among the best gaming consoles. In our roundup, our editor noted that “Nintendo has never been afraid to take risks with its console designs, and the Switch console, first released in 2017, is a perfect example of their success. . “

As a “living room console that can be detached from a TV docking station and used as a portable device,” it is “well suited for sofa multiplayer, a mode facilitated by the new controller design, which allows each joystick to separate into two parts, each working independently.

Last month, the company announced a new console called Nintendo Switch OLED – it’s already out of stock in most places, though it’s only available for purchase on a pre-order basis. We have also started to track stocks of these.

How much does a PS5 cost?

The PS5 disc edition costs £ 449.99, while the PS5 digital edition is cheaper at £ 349.99. The standard PS5 is exactly the same price as the new Xbox Series x – also out of stock at all retailers.

Some retailers, like Game, bundle the PS5 with products, accessories and games. This increases the price but also helps deter scalpers. The game currently has 27 packages listed on his PS5 page. The cheapest disc edition pack comes with a “Player1” t-shirt (£ 464.98, Game.co.uk). Expect a drop in the second week of September.

‘Fifa 22’ release date on PS5

It was quiet here on the PS5 pitch today, but you could soon be roaming a real virtual soccer field, throwing balls with your new PS5 that you * are * going to get very soon.

FIFA 22 on PS5 will be released in just over a month on October 1. FIFA 22 incorporates something called HyperMotion technology into the game, which essentially combines match capture and machine learning to deliver an ultra-realistic Fifa experience.

Anyone who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of the game before August 11 will receive a non-tradable FUT Heroes player.

PS5 Disc Edition vs PS5 Digital Edition

(Sony)

Most of the time, PS5 dealers have both the PS5 Disc Edition and the PS5 Digital Edition in stock. Editing of the record appears to be easier to obtain, however, as more retailers decide to abandon records over digital ones. Is there a lot of difference between them though?

Really, the only difference is that there is no disc drive in the digital edition of the console. This is why it is cheaper. Having said that, it is often more difficult to secure than editing the disc.

Games are downloaded from PlayStation Store and ownership is linked to your PlayStation Network account. Unfortunately, since there is no disc drive, you will not be able to play any physical games you may own. The PlayStation 5 disc edition costs £ 449.99, while the digital edition, without the disc player, is cheaper and costs £ 359.99.

The PS5 Game Collection pack is sold out

It looks like The Game Collection’s £ 769.95 PS5 pack was quite popular, as it’s now sold out. Well done to everyone who managed to get it. Once it arrives, we recommend that you start Ratchet & Clank as quickly as possibleit’s a fabulous new game on the PS5.

In our review of the game, our writer said that “Rift apart has burning charm, in its character design, animated combat mechanics and explorable levels that feel big without looking like a maze, busy without being cluttered ”.
