From his beach home in Delaware, President Joe Biden has done what career politicians do best – he tried to make the bad news turn positive.
After again another Disappointing jobs report on his watch, Biden tried to convince us that “America is on the move again.” He confidently proclaimed that “our plan is working”.
What jobs report Was Joe Biden watching? Certainly not that of Friday which entered at 17% below expectations of economists, or that showing the number of Americans working part-time for economic reasons has increased.
If America is on the march as Biden claims, it is a slow progression, not the robust recovery that we should be experiencing.
As I travel across the country, I see a much different – and more difficult – reality Americans face than the rosy picture the White House paints.
Step out of the Beltway bubble of Washington, DC, and the number of “Now Hiring” signs you will see in storefronts on main streets across America is absolutely alarming.
After a year in which Democratic-led lockdowns wreaked havoc on small businesses across America, these companies are now eager – if not desperate – to hire.
Unfortunately, small businesses find it difficult to find workers. The reason? They are fighting an uphill battle against a federal government that pays Americans After not to work than they would with a job.
With Biden’s backward economic incentives, it’s no wonder that the labor force participation rate tear down at a time when Americans are expected to re-enter the workforce in record numbers.
It’s not just small businesses that are grappling with Biden’s flawed economic policies. Americans are in a hurry by skyrocketing prices, commodity costs increasing at the fastest rate in addition to a decade.
Like families across America, in my own Michigan neighborhood, we pay more at the pump and on our weekly trips to the grocery store.

Biden’s plan to pass $ 6 trillion in new government spending with money that we did not associate with $ 3 trillion in tax hikes would only make the problem worse. This even as economists sound the alarm on inflation risks.
However, Joe Biden’s disappointing employment figures highlight the clear contrast between Republican states leading the economic recovery and those led by Democrats lagging behind.
Of the 18 states with the lowest unemployment rate, 15 have Republican governors. It’s the same story with the states with the best job recoveries, where 17 of the top 20 are led by Republicans.
On the other hand, the five States with the highest unemployment rates? All run by Democrats.

The numbers don’t lie. May’s employment figures are a burning accusation of Biden’s job-cutting policies. They show Biden wasting the economic recovery he inherited from pro-growth policies of President Trump and Republicans.
It’s time for Biden and his fellow Democratic governors to stop holding back our recovery and start drawing inspiration from Republicans and conservative economic policies that work.
