Ornstein adds that a deal is not far off.

AthleticismArsenal’s story also reveals that Arsenal and Brighton have a very strong relationship, which increases the likelihood of a deal coming through.

Ornstein also says personal conditions shouldn’t be an issue.

In fact, the Guardian believes White has already agreed to personal terms with the Gunners.

Should this be Mikel Arteta’s priority?

Above all, it cannot be denied that White is a phenomenal center-back, who has the potential to become one of the best in his role.

However, is this really where Mikel Arteta thinks he needs to step up first this summer, before any other endeavors?

Arsenal struggled to move forward in 2020/21, only doing 55 Premier League goals.

In comparison, North Londoners scored 73 goals in the 2018/19 Premier League season.

If we were in charge, we’d probably be looking for a prolific leader before adding more defenders to what’s already a solid bottom line.

Arsenal only conceded 39 Premier League goals last season, making them the third most formidable team in that regard.

That said, you can’t be bothered by a player of White’s quality coming to Emirates Stadium.

Having lost David Luiz, it’s a nice way for Arteta to replace him.
