Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to rumors that Chelsea have matched PSG’s offer for Achraf Hakimi.

Air sports claim Chelsea offered just over £ 56million for the services of the right-back – shortly after he was linked with Arsenal.

Reports in Spain previously claimed that Arsenal wanted to sign Hakimi and Mikel Arteta personally endorsed the move.

But with Inter seemingly in need of a sell-out, it looks like if Hakimi is going to London, it’s to Stamford Bridge, not the Emirates.

In truth, Arsenal were far from trying to sign the wanted player as they are not exactly in a position of power, both financially or in terms of Europe, to draw him to their direction.

But following the rumor of Chelsea’s offer, several Arsenal fans have just laughed at their reported interest in the player.

It still doesn’t hide the fact that Arsenal themselves still need a right-back this summer, it’s just a question of whether their owners will properly support their boss under fire.

As Chelsea continue to be backed by Roman Abramovich, those in Arsenal’s boardroom are apparently looking to win the award for being one of the less well-managed clubs in the Premier League.

Many would perhaps back those at Stamford Bridge to make the case this summer, but the same cannot be said of their rivals across the way, who are in desperate need of repairs.
