Arsenal fans praised Yves Bissouma who produced an excellent midfielder for Brighton on Saturday.
Much has been said about Bissouma this summer, including Arsenal eager to sign him.
But right now, the deep midfielder dominates the proceedings on the South Coast.
Bissouma helped Brighton beat Watford 2-0 yesterday as the quick and combative technician walked away with the man of the match award.
Arsenal fans were in awe of what they saw of the 24-year-old, who dictated the game as if he had a Playstation controller in hand.
The ease with which Bissouama plays the ball from deep and sensitive spaces, advances the ball in tight situations and then exhibits strong defensive stability, is a joy to watch for many fans.
And when Arsenal fans have to watch their squad fall apart in the first weeks of the season, it’s no surprise that the screams for Bissouma to sign up get louder.
The Gunners have already signed Ben White from Amex Stadium, so even if Edu knocks on their door again, he will likely get the door slammed in his face.
Brighton, after a perfect start to the season, will not want to disrupt the proceedings now as there is very little time left before the window closes.
Perhaps this is what annoys Arsenal loyalists for not pushing Bissouma’s talents early enough.
And now it might be a bit late, especially if these teams much higher in the table come fishing for his ball skills next summer.
